ryan169
Hey guys, Just wondering if you could give me some tips on how to catch some flathead from the land? Eg. lures or how to work them or where to fish. i am based in North Manly if that helps. Thanks guys!
quochuy
My fave lure for them is the 3" Minnow Gulp in Nuclear Chiken (green/red). The squidgies shad are good too. But flatties are not too picky. Currently Narrabeen Lakes could be a good place, in front of the caravan park. Best would be to wade on one of the sand flat, the water at high tide go passed your knee. Cast from one flat the other. Leave the lure down the bottom for 2 seconds then lift the tip of the rod, this will lift the lure off the bottom, let it go back down. Do again and again. Go near sunset, 5.30pm till 8 is good.
