Guest Posted January 9, 2014 Share Posted January 9, 2014 I knew it would happen one day that I would lose my chit and today was the day..I went and targeted Carp OMG!! I arrived at Cobbity near Camden to my little spot to find litter everywhere...dirty bastards and YES I CLEANED IT ALL UP. Take your rubbish home people from all your fishing spots and it will be nice for everyone next time. Now to the losing my mind ,I stopped at the local garage to get myself some sweet corn and off I went in search of El Carpo and I was not disappointed with large swirls near my bread burley and next my line is going tight..wack I strike and this thing screams off on my new jewie stick from Abu and didn't it give old carpo some stik as the last time I got smoked on a run of over 70mts and busted off in the trees..PAYBACK TIME as mr swamp puppy succumbs to my side pressure and heavy drag and up pops my new PB A nice fellow came down called Eric who was just in time to see me land another beauty which gave a great account of itself as well and I must thank him for his generosity on taking a few pics for me.Nice to meet you mate and I hope you landed a few. They really are underrated as a sport fish and if more people knew how hard they go I reckon more people would target them. Well done on doing the river a favour in more ways than one. Gee, I really hope you find your chit soon. I was talked into chasing carp by a European fella who kept talking them up. I wasn't disappointed, My fav shot is the one with the knife hilt deep in the carps gills. Sounds like a great day, you have me thinking about giving them another crack.
