Topwater mayhem

It's been a while between posts.

I had a cracking session last week and on the weekend. The bream and whiting just wanted to jump on to my lures. I headed down to my cruisey little spot near gladesville.

My main lure of choice was a new colour in the sugapen 70 range. It's kind of a reverse of the tiger prawn colours. See attached images. Every cast of that was a follow and or few hits.

In the space of an hour I'd landed about 10 fish and countless other dropped fish. At one stage the bream were jostling each other for the lure and one actually got airborne trying to smash it.

It was a rising tide and the baraometer was 1022.

I usually target whiting but the bream are firing for me. The biggest bream in the photos was a sight casted fish...very exciting.

All up I probably caught about 4 keeper bream and 2 keeper whiting...all returned to the freedom of the polluted Para river.
