Giffo
I reckon they are the best catches of all. Hoping for a fish like that but not really expecting it. If you never throw, you'll never know! Great catch.

The mat is pretty faded though. Cheers
AGP
Thanks to all for your comments. I agree this summer will be a cracker on the Kings when considering just how good last season was. Don't know if I'll beat this fish anytime soon though!
gmandile
Absolute cracker! Have managed 95cm on a mates stella 20000 and that still gave it a great workout. Can only imagine what it was like on a 4000 reel! Makes it even sweeter!!

sharknett
What a great effort. Got one that length from the kayak but not as fat while fishing around North Head a while back. They certainly give you a workout. My first instinct when hooking fish close to structure is the head for deeper water.

VBCB
Mate! That is simply stunning! This would take a few saltiga and stella owners back to Earth for shizzle!!!! I'm absolutely shocked by the fact that you get such a beast in relatively shallows, with such a light line + leader (regardless of inappropriate rod + reel). That's a fish you won't forget soon I bet, and a story that personally gives me a shit load of inspiration to get out and face the difficulty of chasing these bad boys in winter! That has to be the most stunning catch I've read of amongst the hundreds I've seen on this site! Congrats Congrats, Congrats you're a fishing lord (to my eyes at least)

plankton
It is the biggest Kingy I have seen caught off Sydney for quite a while. Congrats. There's YouTube footage of a 28kg King at Blue Fish on a popper from 2012. It's insane. There are occasional beasts.
