anthonype
Hey all, what is the best wind condition / direction for boat fishing the East Coast, I.e Sydney Harbour, Botany Bay, etc. In particular to head outside? I'm always on Seabreeze checking wave and wind conditions, but to be honest don't know what direction is best.
filthmonger
Depends what side of the bay your on. You want the wind coming from the land into the water. Better yet no wind at all. Heading outside a light westerly is best.
don.a
Watch out for southerly and westerly both can get scary very fast. A good day in summer months is going out with a slight west-nw and the north easterly doesn't get up till after lunch and you come home with it.
