gianniz
Nice catch dude, I so wish I can catch a nice big salmon. I have never caught one before Hey I saw you in cliftons garden before, you were pulling in couple of those small yellow tails while I couldn't even catch a cold So there are kingfish in the morning? I might have to give it ago soon.
James P
Haha you have a good memory, yeah i was just putting a piece of peeled prawn on a tiny hook with no wieght and they loved it, and so did the leatherjacket that kept taking it. Yeah the kingfish was there all morning but just being a massive tease, whenever it came over the calamari would go straight to the surface in fear, ended up letting it go and it darted to the bottom petrified (cant blame it after having a hook in it and being eyed off by a big kingfish)
Gibbofisho
Awesome how big was the kingfish?
James P
it is hard to tell when they are under water but at a rough guess probably about 65cm if not a bit bigger. A guy down there said he had seen it there for the last 3 or so days.
gianniz
omg I can imagine my heart beating million miles an hour every time the kingy would tease Couple of times I was fishing for tailors with small metal and this massive kingy would follow.... what a sight!! You should have killed the squid/cuttlefish and put it on a float. What was the tide like?
James P
From memory i think it was rising, i did use the cuttlefish on a float but when i was leaving it was still alive so i let it go and it swum of.
