Guest johblow
Anyone got any opinions on what the best fish head is for crab pots? Or maybe a better question is: what's the best crab pot bait? Cheers.
OWZAT
Ho Joe , The best bait for crab pots , witches hats , etc , etc , " StingRays Wing Flaps" . They last in the Freezer for years , and even some of the larger Mangrove Crabs have to do 1500 push ups every morning to pull this stuff off . You can still buy it in some Fresh Fish shops. Tony Soprano
Is there any govt. restriction on taking sting rays? I have caught that many of them in the h'bury that I would love to be able to turn them into something useful...
Martin
I saw a TV shoe where they used cans of cat food and caught mud crabs.
kevvie
best crab food is the fresh frames of fish that you catch the same day. It is a fallacy that rotton meat attracts more crabs. Just like any other swimming creature fresh bait is the best to catch em. Jew heads work a treat..
