Guest Guest123456789
Hi Raiders, Thought I'd share with you some pics of salt and pepper squid I cooked recently. I think this tastes better than any fish I've caught. All there is to it is just roll it in some flour, salt and pepper and deep fry it in a pot of olive oil. Add squeezed lemon and salt a pepper. Bloody delicious!
mii11x
The reason I wont buy so called "fresh" calamari at a restaurant ever again
amkr
that looks amazing.. I've spent a decent chunk of time trying to catch a squid for this exact reason!

Crossfire63
You should try it like the Italians do it. Dip it in good quality Olive oil . Straight into a hot ( I mean smoking hot.) BBQ plate. A squeeze of lemon and a grind of black pepper and its done. Takes about 30secs

Hotspur
I love calamari, but have never tried making it at home. Hopefully I'll have a good excuse soon!
Greyfox
Will need to catch some to try this, sounds awesome, I use white pepper not cracked black pepper and the rice flour as Time28 said , puts more crunch into the coating.
