Replacement parts - electrics

I am currently running a large marine battery (50amps?) powering a Minn Kota 50-55lb motor in my Jackson Big Tuna. At the moment, there is a Hopkins plug for a "quick connect" plug and a rotary dial for the 2-speed forward and 2-speed reverse.

The plug and dial have pretty much had it, so need replacing. I've seen the Marinco/Minn Kota branded plugs for around $80 here, $50 online which seems a bit much.

Has anyone seen cheaper versions? Does an Anderson plug work ok?

Does anyone know where I can get a good controller too? Tried all of the local place to no avail. Online hasn't been any better.

Anderson plugs work very well. I run a 55lb minkota and I have zero issues with the 50amp andersons.

I run Anderson plugs on my Minkota.

Works fine. I have replaced them once though because it did get quite corroded.

My fault really for not adequately washing out the salt water that occasionally comes over the bow and floods the plugs.

Thanks guys. I will pick up an Anderson plug/socket and see how it goes. What about a controller? Is there anything better out there than the rotary dial that I currently run?
