Scratchie Posted March 7, 2016 Share Posted March 7, 2016 It seemed to be hard going for a lot of boats. All marlin were caught wide as the inshore water has turned cold. We only managed a black around 100kg, a few nice dollies 15-18kg and a good feed of snapper, also heard reports of 60kg yellow fin tuna been caught over the shelf. Wearher conditions were poor for trailer boats, each day was pushing 20-25knts. I believe this weeks weather is much better, and so is the fishing. Good luck for Who ever heads out. Raysway Posted March 10, 2016 Share Posted March 10, 2016 No probs You'll find patches of bait balls around, In calm conditions I like to troll live slimmy mackral, it's an idea to get a few in the bait tank before heading out. With a bit of berly you'll find tones of bait around cabbage tree island.
