Budget seat bases.

I replaced the floor in my boat a couple of months back. Everything looked good but my old seats and bases looked too scruffy to put back in.

I've always thought pedestal bases waste a lot of available space but the alternative box type seemed a lot of money. ( to spend on my cheaper boat anyway) ..

Lots is searching turned up no reasonable alternatives until a couple of weeks back walking the dog I came across a couple of old bar stools that had been dumped in a hedge....

My initial anger with the dumper turned into a grin when I realised they were stainless..

I'm not as flash as Fabian with his step by step guides. However.

1 carbide drill bit. And some aluminium angle section has produced the following for a total spend of $50 on bits plus $200 for the new seats.

Very happy :)
