Fishing around Albury

Just looking for some info on some easy accessible  landbased areas to fish in the Albury area.

Im heading down on the 28th never fished freshwater before.

and info on what lures or bait to use and what fish I can expect to catch would also be great

Tim, Lake Hume is fairly good land based for Carp but (ideally) you'll benefit from a boat for Yellowbelly and Cod. Best bait to use is worms fished on the bottom. Good luck BN

Forgot to add if your hitting the river best time for cod is an hour before first light then two hours after on the top after that fish deep also late arvo into dark is prime time. Otherwise if I'm the day look for shady snags. Trout well they can be taken any time of the day. Although if tuned in on a hatch of terrestrials or insects then it can be tough
