Foghorn
I am not sure of the current rules towing a boat as compared to a trailer, the trailer contents have to be covered, does the gear in the boat need a net over it as well?

It's always been the owners responsibility to secure any loose items from becoming dislodged or blowing out whilst travelling. It doesn't matter if your moving things in utes/trailers or towing boats etc. The best advice I can give you is ensure everything is adequately tied down with the appropriate load rated straps, cover with a net/tarp or a combination of these as there's a chance that you will be fined for what is known as unsecured loads or unrestrained loads. Why risk it? Cheers.
