NSW Marine Estate Management Authority - Have Your Say

Recommended Posts

Please be aware you have an opportunity to provide feedback on the draft NSW Marine Estate Threat and Risk Assessment report.

The Marine Estate Management Authority (MEMA) is requesting the public to comment on the draft report, and in particular, on the evidence which is being used in the process. Feedback will be received until Friday, 31 March 2017 via the online interactive tool on the marine estate website.

Maritime industry stakeholders and the general boating community are encouraged to consider the evidence used, and provide any further evidence that can better inform the report. Evidence includes scientific research or reports, supporting background reports or unpublished data or research.

Once all feedback is collected, the report will inform the ongoing management of the NSW marine estate and form the basis of a new 10-year Marine Estate Management Strategy, which will include the management of priority economic, social and environmental threats and risks. It will also be considered in the creation of new management plans, starting with the Solitary Islands and Batemans Marine Parks.

More information is available at the NSW Marine Estate website.
