Wellzy94 Posted February 27, 2017 Share Posted February 27, 2017 Hit the Nepean with over 200 other anglers over the weekend just passed for Fishfest. Had ROC Race in the morning, so was 5 hours late (fishing started at 12), but got straight into it. Fished near the rowing club under a float for not much on Saturday afternoon, nobody near me caught much either. As it started to darken, headed to Yarramundi to chase carp. Landed one that went almost 55cm, got dusted by something MUCH bigger. Got the bugger right to the bank before he busted me off, but man... how fun on 6lb! Called it quits after the bust-off and went home. Sunday morning, back at the rowing club, under a float again. Landed my first herring, and a good size one at that, going 24cm. Followed it by landing about half a dozen bulleye mullet between 30-35cm. Didn't win any prizes, but it was really great to see so many members of the community get involved!
