CJay
Poor guy it sadly sounds like he wasnt wearing a jacket either, underestimating lakes can cost you heavily, back in Nz theres been many accidents on the great lakes with bad conditions, its amazing how big the chop and waves can get out there, i think some people only associate waves with the ocean and also being land locked gives a false sense of security. Even the Pros that fish the lakes in wind/chop stick to the edges or dont go out at all. No fish is ever worth your life Raiders
rickmarlin62
Where this guy came to grief is 2.5 miles from where this foto is taken i dont go out in strong noreasters as wave heights reach a metre in no time flat coditions in foto the entrance in the distance the lake is very shallow and chops up in no time ...rick
Green Hornet
Sad storey and sympathy to his family. Capsized and knocked unconscious. That's the main reason I wear an "old style" life jacket in my kayak. Hard to pull the cord on an inflatable when you're out to it.
