Apart from the usual Bream & Flatties, we've caught quite a number of shovelnose sharks too, the biggest being just over 1.2m!! Some fat ones too. Can be a bit wasteful filleting them much smaller than 1.2mtr with only about 20 percent flesh to frame/cartilage/skin. Lots of Flake in shops is Shovelnose as they are regular bycatch for prawn trawlers up to 3 metres long. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Just fry em up fish n chips style and wack on some lemon and ur sweet mate! Was actually planning to go out this arvo with PATTHERAT but called it off cus the rain. ritchie Posted December 12, 2017 Author Share Posted December 12, 2017 thanks ALOT gents!!! I THINK WE'VE CAUGHT About 8-9 of them within the space of 1 1/2hrs! Some big thumpers too.
