maxytaxi
Hi guys, Just wondering what setups and fave lures and colours you guys are using to chase bream on the flats. Ive just started to get into some shore based fishing for bream around the parramatta river. Thanks, Michael
Regan
my favourite bream lures for flats include: zman grub, softplastic ecogear sx40, diving hardbody ecogear px45, floating hardbody, walk the dog action colour wise on a clear day i would go natural colours and on a cloudy day go unnatural eg.red, pink etc.

dirvin21
Small poppers and small minnows 35 -40mm as previously stated natural colours but my all time favourite is white for the shallows Fish a light drag because you'll tangle with flathead and it's the best way to avoid bust offs

Miketheangler
P.s. short fat lures distinctly. Prefer atomic cranks, soft plastics are good too in case you don't pickup any bream u could get some flatties. macman
I like the atomics but they have the worst trebles of any lure, very poor for a 15 dollar lure. Matt
FranticD
do bream hang around the flats? would you actually need to be near structure to find the break? I wouldnt imagine you could simply cast into open calm water?
FranticD
Also... could you use hard bodies and SPs to catch bream and Whiting at a beach? My guess is it would need to be a beach with minimal waves?
