The salt water has been playing tough recently but have started to get a few fish again

started with a pre night shift cast under a local bridge the bream were herding up prawns against a wall simply slow rolled a crank past them and straight away

I am becoming a fan of the savage gear cranks

then it was the morning session casting hardbodies around my regular haunts slow start but then what I thought was a flathead come out and nailed my lure right in front of me about 30 seconds later I thought the flattie had been smoking ice and then I saw the fish it was a mid 30's black spot cod  always happy to catch a cod and yes he was released unharmed

next I hit the tree first cast small bream

why did I photo this bream, when I was dragging him across the surface one of the biggest mangrove jacks aka red satan tried to eat him twice this must be the luckiest bream alive to not be in 2 halves I still shake thinking about the size of that jack it was huge

finished off with a nice session on the moses perch
