That's a very nice rig! The other 4 might get neglected for a while.

My question is why four when you can only use one at a time

I have 5 grandsons and 2 sons that do not have yaks!

Also each yak has a different purpose,

i.e. fast 1 man cruising, 2 man fishing, 1 man bass yak, 1 man sea yak etc!

I like your thinking! I have 4 yaks, but 2 are for kids & 2 for adults. The Jackson is a great yak. Is it the Coosa?

Hi D.F.,

Congrats on the new kayak. I believe there is an expression along the lines of you can't get too much of a good thing.... I see another few kayaks in your future. :D

Now the engineer in me wants to know what the metal bar bolted to the side of the kayak is for - my first guess is a motor mount.

Can you please clarify?

Regards,

Derek

Hi Derek,

Yes it is for an electric motor, you can also fit one on the rudder plate, however I think having a tiller steer mounted behind you is stupid!

I may put a foot control Haswing on there as I have one on my fishing boat and hardly ever use it!
