Surfacejunky
I spent the afternoon on the George's river last week, managed a few nice bream exploring some new grounds on hb's and sp's and then this nice flatty off the top in 10 cm of water! The surface action has been insane lately. Interestingly I have only caught Blue spot Flathead in the George's and hacking, any thoughts?

tyrone07
That’s a dusky any day of the week, the spots are generally to do with what ground they are predominately sitting on for camoflague
MainframeJames
Also think its a Dusky. Very nice colouring!
Ribs
Definitely a dusky, only get blue spots and tigers outside never in the Georges, the big fat head usually gives it away, nice fish on lures!
Berleyguts
Yeah, I’d call it for a dusky. I’m sure the gill spikes are different on a blue spot. Edited April 9, 2018 by Berleyguts

Yowie
That is a dusky flattie in the photo. I have caught the occasional blue spot flattie in the deeper water of Port Hacking, west of Lilli Pilli over the years. Usually one at a time, the best is 3 in the one day, not big ones but most are over legal.
