Last 2 trips to the Murrumbidgee

Recommended Posts

Had a trip out today to chuck some lures around. Beautiful days now with the fish biting during the hotter parts. Trolled some lures around for half an hour, NOTHING and then set up to cast some lures. After an hour and several changes of lure, STILL NOTHING. I suspected the Cod were holding deep and very close to the snags, because the water was very clear. This proved to be the case and I snared 2 Cod in the low 50s in 2 hours of very accurate casting with the red /black spinnerbait fitted with 1 large Colorado blade.

A few days ago I decided on a night session in a virgin area. Arrived an hour before dark and stayed for about 3 hours. Beautiful area but alas the fish were all on holidays. Did manage to catch a large Turtle however. I was quite surprised how promising this new area looked even though the water levels are low and dropping.

Nice ...yep they are definately there just smarter than the lil ones I think ...right place, right time ,right snag ,right lure or bait ,right barometric pressure ,right attitude ,right shoes

And it's on

Now to go find that perfect pair of shoes ?
