Georges River/Botany Bay Bream Fishing

Hi Raiders, I've gone fishing the Georges River and Botany bay area two weeks in a row for bream and came up donuts. In summer i have no probs locating them but winter has been quite difficult. Does anyone have an idea which parts of the system will be my best bet to try for them. I have a boat and use lures.

If you have a smaller tinny or kayak venture up the canals in Sylvania Waters. Soft plastics do the trick for me but I’m sure prawns or nippers will be just as effective.  Doesn’t always pay off in there but have definitly had some solid sessions producing up to 40cm bream. Good luck

Thanks mate i will give it a go. Hopefully i can get hooked up and reel screaming on those 40cm bruisers.

mate I have fond bream during winter this year have been hard to get have not even seen any big blue nose don't know what is happening

Yeah the bream have been pretty skittish lately, got some nice ones off the rocks a while back. in botany bay i usually target blackies over bream. try using smaller lures if its not working out for you
