The responder suggested that I should search on Google for a spot since there are plenty of spots to choose from. After some research, I decided on Clifton Bay Baths, but it’s too crowded. I further researched and have decided to go to Gymea Bay Baths to fish. If you have fished there before, what bait works best, what fish did you catch, and is it as crowded as Clifton? Busy-livin Posted October 12, 2018 Share Posted October 12, 2018 Ill go down there often with squid jigs and flick around for some fresh bait for the weekend ahead. Can always pull out a few and throw back what i dont need. I dont know how this fresh water pushing up the system from all the rain will effect the fishing though. kingie chaser Posted October 12, 2018 Share Posted October 12, 2018 (edited) Gymea baths CAN produce a wide variety of fish but as usual with fishing you have to be there at the right time & be lucky. A mate went there & caught a nice salmon once & have read people have caught kings there. Usually you will just catch a heap of undersized squire & bream! Still, beats watching TV ? Im new to fisihing and want to get into squidding and crabbing with the kids. Don't wanna lose all my squid jigs in the first go. I have a boat if that makes any difference. On Gymea Baths, does anyone know what the go is with the signage up at Gymea at the moment saying that the water may be contaminated with sewage runoff... Mentions no swimming or fishing.
