Where are all you big gamers?

Recommended Posts

It seems this forum isn't very active.  Where have you all gone?

I see some familiar names in the old posts.

Are you fishing less for game or posting less?

I’m not big gamer but I’ll be out there once this weather settles down and water warms up! As rick said, there been a few about but a lot of water in between!

Went for an attempt 3 weeks ago, but got to the fad and with 2m plus swell (not forecast) and 20 knot winds, wasn’t pushing on any further!

Will let you all know on future attempts!

Cheers scratchie!!!

Fished out of Broken Bay on Monday the 3rd.

Went to FAD. Dead as a doornail (to be expected - to early).

Headed wide and just over the shelf had nice water with bait.

1130 hours had a good run (50 meters) on one of my divers only for leader to fail (suspected crimp failure)

Continued on 5NM NNE and between 1230 - 1400 hours had 2 strikes on the long corner (seen one strike) and another visual strike on the shotgun.

Had elec issues and lost GPS so headed home 14330 hours.

I don't chase the big stuff, had albacore last weekend and yellowfin the week before. Striped marlin reports as far as Merimbula posted today on Facebook from the local tackle store.

Will head 50k offshore again over the weekend if the forecast stays good, in the hope of more albacore or yellowfin but not to interested in marlin. There have been a few good dolphin fish already down this way.
