pugzthugz
What do you guys think is more important; fishing at the right time or fishing the right tide?
Koalaboi
Depends on what you are fishing for. I fish mainly, but not exclusively, for flathead and blackfish from the beach, rocks and estuary (Tuggerah Lake). Tailor, bream, salmon and whiting plus pigs etc are also targeted. Tailor is one species I find better round dawn and dusk whilst the others I look at the tide charts to work out when to go. So, for me as a land based fisherman, tide would generally be the more important factor of the two you asked about. KB
UnderFisher
As above it totally depends on species and technique. Off the beach for tailor and salmon I’d swear by fishing at dusk rather than worrying about the tide. For other species eg blackfish, they can completely go off the bite at the change of tide.
