l2oBiN
Looking for rod recommendations to match/balance the 475 B. It would be used for Blackfish rock fishing.
Green Hornet
Gary Howard Ocean Blackfish. They are 12'1"long, with a fibreglass tip section and a graphite butt. Gary has recently turned up a batch of these in 1 and 2 piece format. Built on the now hard to find GP3145g blank and the feedback is nothing but positive. I use mine with both a 475B Alvey or a Avon Royal Supreme III depending on where I'm fishing. If you're keen on one PM me, they're not the easiest rod to find in stores. macman
I had no idea that the Gary Howard was built on a composite blank let alone the 3145G. Are you sure that's correct? If it is, then it's a miracle, the 3145G hasn't been available for years. And if true would look for one myself. Matt

Matt Bought one myself just before Christmas Matt and was in close contact with Gary at the time. Definitely a GP3145g blank.
