Are there any kingfish around Nelson Bay breakwall at this time of year ?

ditto any type of pelagic?

im thinking about a morning trip but it’s a long way to go without the intell.

Yep. Longtails in the Bay, too. One of the local tackle stores posted this report  on their FB page:

“DUFFS FISHING REPORT 3.5.19

Estuary 

...Continued reports a heap of bait in the Bay- the longtail action in the Bay this week has continued with fish to 15kg being landed. Work either break walls or the end of Sally Shores Wharf, work live bait out to the channel using a balloon, around 100 m from the end of the wharf. If you’re in a boat follow the bait and you’ll find these Tuna bullets cruising around.  Work the main Breakwall early morning or late avo. for kings to 3kg.”
