YZ250 Posted June 5, 2019 Share Posted June 5, 2019 Hi All, I was hoping to put the boat in on St Georges basin this long weekend. Can anyone recommend places to camp that are nearby (30 or 40 min drive max)? I just want to roll out the swag and don't need too much amenity, would consider anything from a caravan park to a national park spot but am struggling to find anything. Green Hornet Posted June 5, 2019 Share Posted June 5, 2019 Google Palm Beach caravan park and see what you think, its only a two minute walk to the basin and a 1 minute drive to Sanctuary Point boat ramp. Aside from there, there's a caravan park at Huskisson or stacks at Sussex Inlet. There's camping grounds at Booderee National Park at Caves Beach, Bristol Point and Greenpatch but you're going to need a $13.00, 2 day pass on top of your camping fee to stay in one of those. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

the skipper Posted June 6, 2019 Share Posted June 6, 2019 Brendan, I have an onsite van near Swan Lake , Cudmirrah. There is van park there with good amenities and grassed area you can pitch a tent . It is called Lakeside Caravan Park Goonawarra Drive Cudmirrah ph 4441 2516. There are three locations for boat ramps I will be down there over the long week end.
