wrxter
Hi all, I’ve read a few fishing reports in the past referring to “Turtle Reef” in Port Hacking. Can anyone shed some light on where this reef actually is as I can’t find any references to it. Cheers Wrxter

Yowie
It is a rocky area, like a lot of Yowie Bay, and lines can be easily snagged up. I have not fished there for many years, though when I did, I caught the biggest variety of leatherjackets of anywhere I have ever fished.
wrxter
Thanks Plethora, where abouts in Yowie Bay is it? I don’t have a GPS in my tinny. I was told it was a leatherjacket haven as you’ve mentioned Yowie. Cheers

wrxter
Thanks Plethora, That's actually Gymea Bay even though it says Yowie Bay & Great Turriel Bay! I'll give it a try one day. Cheers
Yowie
Head south from the wharf in Yowie Bay. About half way down the bay, on the left, is Neales Inlet (the small bay shown on the map). Before you motor to Neales Inlet is Turtle Reef, it faces to the south, and is now filled with moored boats.
wrxter
Thanks Yowie, now it all makes sense as it’s in front of Turtle Road! Many thanks again 👍
