wazatherfisherman Posted September 29, 2019 Share Posted September 29, 2019 Hi Donna Mona Vale pool weed has always been amongst the best available in Sydney. It is a darker type filamentous cabbage form of weed and the fish love it no matter where you use it. Have done well with it in the Harbour, Parra and Georges River, as well as the south coast and Yamba. Grows well but is targeted by the council for poisoning off due to it being a "slip-hazard" during summer, however there is generally enough in the vicinity of the pool for a couple of outings each gather. Kelso Park also used to produce good weed but I haven't looked there for years and have only just returned to living in Sydney, so my 'intel' is not up to date.
