There is some debate on this but I think it's a good idea. Provided it is a premix 2 stroke (sounds like it is if it has carbies).

Yes 30hp Yamaha with 3 carbies and oil injection

I have a 4-stroke 15HP carbie Mariner and I let it run dry when flushing after each outing. 
I did not do this In the first few years of ownership.  Before I started to run it dry I would have recurring carbie flooding issues due to the carbie float sticking. 

I have had the motor for 19years - so my experience is running dry is ok.

Oil injection is not premix. It rules out running you motor dry of fuel as you will have oil being injected into the carbies as the fuel runs out, making it very hard to start again. If you are not going to use it for a while either run it at home every month or so or use a fuel preserver.
