frankS
I have 3 pumps in my boat a bilge pump a inlet pump for bait tank and a outlet pump for the bait tank, so had to have switches for them. Made up a aluminium box set switches in it then made up a inline fuse holder and screwed it on the side of the box. In hindsight it would have been easier to buy switches with fuses built into them . But I do like making things and it gives me something to do. One spare switch and fuse that I will find something to connect to. Paint job a bit rough but it's just going in my boat and most of it is a bit rough. This is a better shot Frank
blindmullet
How come you need to pump out the live bait tank? Most have a hose at the top that just goes overboard. Is there an advantage im not seeing?
frankS
My bait tank is built into the floor and is about 12cm lower than the gunwale at the top of the tank. It also acts as part of the rear cast deck when lid is closed. It is 100 ltr tank and it's just the way I build things. works well as long as you remember to switch inlet off before tank is full and switch outlet off before tank is empty. It's a balancing act but I can keep fish alive all day long without any problems. Can also be used to keep fish such as bass alive till they are measured/weighed by the observers. blindmullet
Aah, part of the floor explains everything. Good idea for keeping bass live and 100L is impressively huge
