An Early Evening

Green Hornet

Recommended Posts

Just looks like an ordinary twilight photo, right?

Only difference this was taken at 4pm yesterday with the sun being blocked out by the south coast bushfire smoke just to the west of us.

In my 60 years of living in the bush, I have never seen anything like it.

Thanks for everyone's concern, but I must add we are a bit east of the fire front and in a pretty safe position. In fact the centre where the people forced to leave their homes are staying is just around the corner.

Although we do have bush near us, the fire's going to have to do plenty of twisting and weaving before it gets to it.

Not down playing yours or anyone else's situation atm as I know there has been major losses & tradgetys over a number of states but the Sydney basin has been seeing this almost every day for like the last 6 weeks.

11 times what the national safe pollution level is several days at a time!

You know it's crazy when you can't see the skyscraper 100mtrs in front of you.

Wishing all in affected areas & the RFS my best wishes.

Probably for another thread but there will be an inquiry into this & the 'green' side of politics should be ashamed!

To reduce hazard burning to try & try & save 'carbon credits'..................well this is the results!!

Stay safe all & try to have a safe Xmas & new years.
