stoney
I’m hitting the Nepean tomorrow morning off the yak up at Wallacia. Be on the water just after sun rise. Wondering if anyone has had any luck up there recently. The river is very low but there is a heap of structure that with any luck will be holding some bass. any advice or tips would be much appreciated. lastworm
I went up further than that today and got a handful. Nothing big but enough to have some fun off the surface. I fish the Nepean as often as possible during open season. I have a feeling all of the fish I’ve been getting in the Nepean this season are resident fish, because they are all a dark green or almost black colour. Also, I just don’t think we’ve had enough rain for the fish to migrate back up the fish ladders. Just my theory, take from it what you will. stoney
Thanks for the reply guys. I headed from the Wallacia bridge upstream towards Bents Basin and there were plenty around. Between myself and mate we ended up with about 8 each. Not huge but fun anyway. A couple of them measuring 27cms. Will definitely head back up that way. Even with the river low it’s beautiful.
lastworm
Nice one! They are good fun, even at 27cm they pull hard for their size.
