If they have pale blue spots, it is a Blue Spot Flathead (look carefully in the photo I posted) like most flatties, the spikes on the side of the head are roughly equal size.

If one spike on the side of the head is much longer than the second spike, more than likely a Spiky Flathead.

The tail is a very good way to I.D. them also (but you need to know which is which, as they differ on different flattie species)
