Murray Cod Help

Recommended Posts

Back paddocks at my place run along Warrell Creek.

I launch the yak from there, looking at a small cheap tiny soon to leave down there.

Have to take the bigger boat around go the ramp at Scotts Head Reserve.

How clear is the water bewteen Gumma and Nambucca, can be tough fishing.

Shallow sandy. Its either up your way if windy or out to the main river. Plenty of boats go missing so use a chain etc if leaving down there. Those Bass must be lining up for this weekend its such great weather (oops - just woke up the weather Gods!!)

@MonsterHunter , are you still chasing fresh water cod ?
if so, would you like some fat earthworms for bait? I got HEAPS.

Send me a PM if interested, Im in Western Suburbs Sydney, but I can post you some for postage cost.

Cheers, David.

Sorry mate have been off the grid for a while just seeing this now.

Yes still chasing the Cod but thinking more on lures.

Do you chase them on lures?

Hi all

Im looking at having a crack at Murray Cod and am not sure on land based locations as close to Sydney as possible.

A point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Thx

Thanks for all the comments guys, apologies have been off grid since posting.

A few clarifications i think i need are on my part:

- I will be fishing lures (swimbaits and topwater)

- I will be fishing landbased

- I don't mind a bit of a hike, perhaps an hour or so is okay

- Okay to drive up to 5 hrs from Sydney but would prefer to keep it at about 3 (home commitments)
