Hot Off The Press! Grab Your Free “Go Fishing” Sydney Guides

The latest additions to our popular “Go Fishing” guidebook series have just arrived from the printer!

The new “Go Fishing Parramatta & Lane Cove Rivers” and “Go Fishing Middle & North Harbour” now join our “Go Fishing Sydney Harbour’s Wharves, Piers & Parks” booklet to provide a comprehensive guide to the fantastic land-based fishing opportunities available around our biggest city.

These Sydney-based guides are the latest in a series of free regional and metropolitan fishing access resources DPI has been developing since 2016.

So far the series includes guides to fishing in the popular Lake Macquarie, Botany Bay, St Georges Basin and Tuross Recreational Fishing Havens as well as Jervis Bay, Blowering Dam and the Snowy Mountains lakes and rivers.

A new guide covering the fishing options in the Coffs Harbour region is in the final production stages before heading to the printers and we’re already researching several new locations for future publications!

Over the next week or so we'll be sending bulk copies of the two new Sydney guides to leading tackle shops plus distributing copies to DPI Fisheries Compliance Officers, NSW Police and our Education Officers to hand out to anglers during patrols and info sessions around the Harbour and surrounding areas.

As with all our “Go Fishing” publications, the two new Sydney guidebooks feature easy-to-read maps detailing popular local fishing locations, tips and techniques for common species plus rules, regs, dietary advice and other relevant info.

And as well as being available in full-colour print editions, all 10 of our current guides will soon be available from the DPI website as downloadable PDFs for your smart phone, tablet or PC – stay tuned for more details on this exciting development!

Meantime, if you’d like copies of any of our current “Go Fishing” guides, including the new Sydney booklets, send your NAME AND POSTAL ADDRESS to fisheries.info@dpi.nsw.gov.au and we’ll get them in the mail for you ASAP. Remember to let us know which of the various guides you’d like. We're happy to send the box set!

Important: Don’t forget to include your name and full postal address!

Meanwhile, stand by for info on when our Coffs Harbour regional guide will be available. And feel free to let us know if there’s a location or region you’d like us to include in the “Go Fishing” series.

The DPI “Go Fishing” guides are a great example of your fishing fees at work.

No worries Donna.  Yes, the whole publication is for Sydney Harbour only at the moment, however they already added general fishing spots/zones maps PDFs for the rest of listed areas.

Hi mrsswordfisherman

I sent the DPI the email, requesting for all of the current Go Fishing Sydney Guides.

I gave them my name and address.

I sort of want all of the guides because I catch all of those types of fish, and I want to find better fishing spots and techniques to catch those species of fish.

What happens now?

Cheers
