mrsswordfisherman
Transport for NSW Maritime Alert 25 MARCH 2021 Boaters urged to avoid Manning River near Martin Bridge at Taree NSW Maritime is urging boaters to avoid the Manning River, particularly in the vicinity of the Martin Bridge at Taree. Scaffolding sections and large pieces of debris are hanging off the bridge and are in the water around the bridge, presenting a danger to water users. Once the site has been made safe with the removal of the suspended debris and scaffolding vessel traffic will be able to transit under the bridge. Following the recent weather event, the bridge is closed to road traffic along Manning River Drive between Glenthorne and Taree. Boating Safety Officers will continue to assess damage to infrastructure and mark hazards and reinstate navigation aids but it could be some time until the process is completed. NSW Maritime thanks boaters for their patience during this time. For the latest traffic updates, download the Live Traffic NSW App and visit livetraffic.com or call 132 701.
