Pickles 1,145
Finally left the flood damage behind, fencing, clearing mud etc & headed off to SWR with Raider Hadz and his young bloke Jensen - chasing Spotties, Kingies & Cobia. We headed across the bar on Sunday & Monday, good fishing both days, but we boated no big Pelagics. I was bitten off twice )heavy leader, but no wire as they were shy. We bottom bashed agin, no Wahoo etc, but plenty of blue spot flatties and snapper. Tuesday the bar was a bit dodgie so fished in the river and bagged out on big bream - averaging 40-45cm - all on flesh baits of whole pilchards and small Yakkas. Ocean was warm (24) but still very dirty & we had to go out 10-12ks to get clean water and LOTS of sharks., attached - a few pics of the spoils 13
