big Neil
I went out this morning to try my luck on the Murray Cod. The boat ramp had about 4m of mud on it, a result of the Authorities running massive amounts of water down the river, overnight. The morning was quite cold but the water was about 15c as we headed off upstream. Water clarity was ok in parts but quite coloured in the main. We made a choice to cast hard body lures...normally one of us uses spinnerbaits. We gave the snags a major workout and only had slight interest. My mate (Luke) had 2 decent hits, but neither stuck. I was a little more fortunate landing this 65cm specimen after he smashed the lure half way back to the boat. The lure that brought him undone... You can see from these few pics that it was a bit misty on the river early on but ended up being a nice sunny day. We only fished for 4 hrs as we both had other things to do in the afternoon. The Cod was released unharmed, to fight another day. Thanks for reading, bn Edited May 12, 2021 by big Neil
Blackfish
Excellent report again Neil and some very nice photos, I recon the Title should be "A Tough day on the Murrumbidgee .... is better than a day at work" 😃 1
kingie chaser
As they say BN, a bad days fishing better than a good day at work. Looking at the fish your holding I would call that for a great day out 😉
