Little_Flatty Posted December 15, 2021 Share Posted December 15, 2021 I tried this recipe yesterday with a flathead that I caught, and thought it was rather good: Cod with Tomato and Herb Butter (5 Star Recipe) - Little Broken The adaptions I made were that obviously the flathead were left whole, and I put a slice of lemon and a bit of minced garlic into the gut cavity before baking. Also, I bought a couple of whole flathead from the shops to supplement the one I caught. They were reasonably fresh, but the difference between the freshly caught fish and the ones from the shops was like night and day. Made it worth the effort creating space in my backpack for a cool bag and ice pack. We have it good as fishos, being able to access freshly caught fish from time to time.
