Salt away

To those of you that use Salt away on your boat do you leave it on the boat or do you rinse it off ?

I leave it on as it leaves a protective layer, same goes for the motor .

I use it on my tackle as well but I either wipe or rinse it off as it can leave a sort of white coating which won’t hurt anything but just looks bad .

You might want to do the same for your windscreen if you have one .

Apparently that salty captain stuff is good for that. It has this like sea would bottle that you just spray all over

I wash it off after it has sat for a few minutes.

1. Hose boat, trailer and Motor with Salt Away

2. Flush motor with salt away then normal water to finish

3. bucket and sponge boat and motor

4. Rinse with fresh water from hose

I do rinse off. Not sure what the salt turns into with the chemical reaction with salt away, but figure it is better off rinsed off than left on.

I just wish I could  remember I have the stuff i always  use the muffs without it

i use salty captain follow instructions on the bottle. very happy with results

Let it sit about 10min then rinse off
